The "paint OK" on a 70 NJ car looks pretty much like the other years - same plant. No one I know of sells the stamps (you would need two or three at least for each car)  but I think that by next year one of the MCA Judges will have them available (he will stamp each car) at MCA National shows as I have done for years.

Many people have tried to make these stamps only to end up with something that is wrong (size or font incorrect) wrong. And we would rather see nothing (especially since these are not required at any organization's shows at Concours level) than something that is wrong for the car

i just want my car to look like it came from ford . not real concerned if it will not  be 100% concours correct . do you have a pic of one ,i live in toronto and it is hard to purchse one so want to make on here

Are you talking about something like this? I believe its a 65 or 66  right fender.

Be careful when having one made as stamp producers tend to use their standard fonts rather than making the exact copies

Sent you an example (by email) for your use). Another different one would have been applied to the bottom of the trunk lid by the worker inspecting the uni-body (rather than the individually paint items)

Dave, What you posted was the "BaseBall Diamond" stamp picture that I took a few years ago. That stamp is the "FINAL OK" stamp for '65-'66 Dearborn cars only, and is seldom seen. It is not the "PAINT OK" stamp for '65-'66 Dearborn cars. These  "BaseBall Diamond" stamps were actually first used (with different numbers) on the '55 thru '57 T-birds. The correct stamp is below, and is usually found on the cowl from the middle to the passenger side of the cowl, but as I said, seldom seen.

Here is the '65-'66 "Paint OK" stamp for Metuchen, NJ cars.  Note that the assembly line workers name is also attached. I'm sure that the named varied..lol... such as MARTZ, PAYNE, etc. This guy's first or last name was SASWAY.  *Have also seen a few of these stamps below found on the right side inner shock tower also for Metuchen.

Here's another set of 68 NJ reference pictures.  Not good quality, but does indicate no "baseball diamond" symbol surrounding the text.

On this 15k mile unrestored car I can recall on on the pass side fender, one on the cowl, and one under the hood.  I don't recall one on the driver's side fender, although it would make sense.

I have a 1970 Mach 1 built in Metuchen under the hood there is a PAINT OK stamp. It looks like the name has WIN & some other letters that I cant read, does anyone else have this name or know the correct name
