Wire Clip for backup Switch
« on: August 18, 2017, 10:48:23 PM »
Looking for the wire clip for the backup light wire at the back center of the engine on the fire wall.  I lost it...somehow.  According to the assembly manual it's 382175 S clip.  Any idea where I can find one?

July 68 Metuchen, J code.

Thanks,
Dave

Manual or automatic? Just in case they are different

As far as finding one. Swap meet, wrecking yard, Ebay or wanted ad are the normal places to start

Used on allot of years and factories in that location. Pain to get off in one piece

For an automatic application

A heat gun is your friend in getting them off and on in one piece. :)

It a manual.  The pictures Jeff posted (Thanks Jeff!) look correct from my memory.  I got it off in one piece and it slide down the back side of the tranny and has not been seen since.
