'66 San Jose built gas tank sender wire clip
« on: June 10, 2017, 07:29:55 PM »
There were two clips holding the fuel tank sender wire as it is routed to the tank . Were these the same clips attached to the passenger side shock tower brace to hold wiring?  They were partially rubber coated....which wires ran through the clips on the brace?

Found a picture of my old '66 San Jose car...I think it answers my questions...same clips and the wires in them. (The car was very original so I'm assuming this was a factory installation)

Those clips are typical for the fuel sender wire. FYI NPD sells them if needed.

There are two types specified, 372046-S100 which is 1 3/16 long, and 372047-S100 which is 15/16 long. The short one is sold by AMK. The book say you need the long one. I've seen one of those types (I think Ford mix them up a lot) with its "tongue" bent upward to hold 5/16 or 3/8 metal fuel lines, and possibly the HP choke cable.

There are also 2 other variances, some with olive-drab color and dipped in black flex material and a black clip dipped in flex material.

As usual if we knew (posted) when your car was built we could provide a much better/correct answer to your question
