1966 windshield washer hose routing/clip
« on: June 06, 2017, 10:15:17 PM »
Looking for a picture of how the factory routed the 1966 windshield washer hose(s) including any clips used.

                                                                  Thanks...

Which factory??? ;)

If San Jose there is a thread discussing the different clips used during the production year. And then there is the discussion from the other day (another thread) about the center clip at often held up part of the wire loom also at a particular plant

Hope this helps with the routing. Different cars but you should get the idea.

San Jose built......I see the position of the clips, and the routing leaving the pump.

                                                      Thanks...

Were the factory firewall clips any better than the Repros?  They don't hold anything to that firewall very well. One small bump and they just fall right off.

I never had that problem with original clips, and I drove coast to coast three times with my 66 Fastback in 1967-68. Of the several 65-66 Mustangs I've had in recent years, the repro clips mostly worked very well except one around the export brace at the RH side. In this instance I think the buildup of paint at the "pinch" was the problem.

Would help if we knew when and where the car was built. It appears that a fair number of cars have the possible incorrect number of retaining clips
