Topic: 64 1/2 Jack Handle Plate

Got my Jack handle back from the plater done in clear zinc.  But this and several of the other clear zinc parts came back a little more yellow than I had expected.  I'm inclined to send it back and have it redone, but thought I'd post some pics and get some input first.

Yeah, I really like the sheen, it was just that I was expecting a clear to a bluish tone like I've seen on most of them.

I would not have a problem with the finish however it looks like you plated it with the spring still attached. The spring looks silver. The plating process can make the spring steel brittle and more likely to break if that is the case.

You're right about the spring getting brittle if plated, but I don't see a spring.

Yes i took the spring out before plating.  It's not installed back in the picture.  Must be a shadow.
