1969 Mustang 4300 Carburetor rebuild.
« on: April 17, 2017, 01:09:58 PM »
I would like to have my Autolite 4300 carb. C9ZF-E rebuilt- restored. Can anyone recommend a vendor who cans restore the carburetor back to its original appearance and or concourse restored?

I believe pony carbs once provided this service, but has been bought by champion carbs. Has anyone used there services?

Thanks for the help in advance.

Tom Zeman recently did mine for my 70 Mach 1 351 4V.  Beautiful job.  He is out on Long Island in East Islip, NY.  I believe this is his number.  631-581-2009

Only pic of my carb I had on my phone to share.  Tom does a lot of work for the Boss 302 crowd.

Depending on how close to original you want to get things (focus here ;) you may need to do some correcting of finishes on some parts of any current carburator restoration since many just plate all the removable parts all the same - most likely zinc dichromate.

Just a consideration IMHO as you look for factory correct look ;)

The two shops, Tom Zerman, and Kurt Praxl (KPcarbs) are completely different and shouldn't be confused.
