Red Oxide Primer Matching
« on: March 25, 2017, 02:57:11 PM »
Car is almost ready for primer. The red oxide on my 1969 is more of a brown color. Looked at epoxy primers and cannot find a match. San Jose car w/ January 69 build date. Attached is a picture of interior w/ primer. Is there a product code that matches better?

No there is no product code it will need to be color matched.  Not everything in doing a restoration is something you can just pick off a web site or order from a catalog. Takes a little more effort. Just part fo the fun and challenge of restoring

That is allot of effort for primer that will never be seen but your choice. The color on the undercarriage from the firewall forward would have been from another source and color and the floor, if you check will not likely be red oxide
