Topic: Car show question

So I was approached at the LA Classic Car show and asked if I knew what the correct distance is from the tips of the trumpets on the GT to the Valance.  He said he measured some and they were 1/4" different.  (my thought was that was normal)  He wanted to know what was right.  I told him I did not know, and that it was probably different depending on Plant and whci day it was built!  I referred him to this board, and said you would all probably run out to your cars and measure, and start a discussion on what is correct and when the cut off date is.
