Just ran across this on Barn Finds.  Looks like a good builder car, but it's a shame it wasn't stored somewhere in the dry.  Looks like someone has been migrating deluxe interior parts into it, too.  It's already waaaaay beyond what I would pay for it in the shape it's in.

The door lower grille, a part of the Deluxe Interior Package, is all I see there. Those are the "Speaker Grilles" for Factory Installed 8 Track option on Standard Interior Cars. Looks legit

I dunno, it appeared to have a brushed aluminum instrument cluster, but none of the other brushed aluminum stuff.

Wait, scratch that.  It actually is the correct camera case bezel.  Would it have come with a tach from the factory?  I didn't see it listed on the Marti Report.

The tach was included with the K and S code 4 speeds, not requiring a separate cost option.  I don't think that was the case for T, C, and A codes.   If the option was chosen when not included, I think the tach was 6,000 RPM, but the K and S code 4 speeds were 8,000 RPM.  I don't recall ever seeing a definitive document or position based on survey of unrestored cars to cover all the bases.   Also there were changes along the way which makes it more difficult.

Typical NY, Pa, NJ rust issues all mustangs from these states look like that.

and the 8K tachs I know were on the K-codes w/4 speeds, I'd have to research other applications besides Shelby's.
Otherwise, the RPO setup was typically seen as the 6K tach. Seen several over the years on unrestored C-codes, A-codes and S-codes, most were auto trans cars though.
I've seen one unrestored K-code fastback GTA's without the tach

Include any state that used salt on the roads in winter.
