Could someone help me telling me the part number of the original thermostat for the 1965 Mustang, 289 - 2V. I understand that it was a 192 degree thermostat.... does it was Autolite?.... BTW, I'm looking for a NOS one.
Thank you all for your help. So far, I have found part number A8AZ-8575-F instead of A8AZ-8575-C. What does the last letter stands for? Is it equivalent? What's the difference?
Luis,It's for a 390 engine before 12/01/66, replaced by A8AZ-8575-C (see above). If it will work is a question for the big block guys. You can down load your own MPC from this site: http://squarebirds.org/Manuals/1965/1965-72FordPartsTextCatalog/ There are 45 Adobe .pdf files that take up 434mb. It is worth the time and trouble.Jim
