That was a shame Richard. But things comes when they have to come, so looks like now in the time for me, with all the consequences. I will continue looking for these parts.
My car hasn't PS nor AC, so should be easier I guess.

Which assembly Manual would you recommend.?

Josep

EVERY Osborn Assembly manual would be good to have for your  66 but I am taking about the ENGINE Assembly Manual.

This one for instance..?

http://www.cjponyparts.com/engine-equipment-assembly-manual-1966/p/BKAM156/

That will do fine. Sometimes you can find a vendor selling the whole set at a small discount for the year Mustang you are restoring. Lot's of invaluable information. Maybe email a vendor and make a request for a full set.

And, with the old smog system found, what would you guys do when putting it into the car;

1- clean all parts and keep them as they are now, original or
2- restore, paint all parts and install

What do you suggest gents..?

First about the assembly manuals. IMHO they do include allot of good info but please, please double check the details as there are many examples of Ford either changing what was written, changing the process after the page was written or the workers choosing just not to follow what Ford wanted done for one reason or another

Clean and paint (were possible and original) and store the parts until you have every part needed then install the assembly. Believe these are going on a restored/repainted car so the finish should match the look - if your car was an unrestored car the answer would likely be different

 Something like the silencer can wait but most of the other parts should all be there IMHO Some of the parts were painted on the engine I believe so you'll need to paint the mounting bolts to look original.

Understood Jeff.
We almost have all the parts unless the scoop and the tube support.
All the rest have been found already.

I'll do what you suggest Jeff, thanks.!

BTW - in conflict with what you've been told elsewhere some of the Thermactor pieces were dyed :) As mentioned in one of the other threads you started
