Topic: 67 fastback vent window adjusting studs

I removed my driver's side vent window in order to install the original adjuster studs.  I assume they are partially screwed in before the vent window is installed, with the longer half of the stud towards the outside of the car and the washer behind the bracket so the washer head nut can move the window in or out?  I attached a picture.

After looking at things....it  looks  like the studs have to be installed after lowering the window  into the door, screwed all the way in, then slip the studs behind the brackets so they come  through to the other side for the washer head nuts attach?

Yes that is correct.

I suggest you only start the front lower one, then put the others on after it's in the door. Thread it in all the way to the bracket, then adjust it out with a T allen wrench.

You could go to the Library section of this forum under "Mustang Hardware Spreadsheet 67-68" and open file "MHW67-68AP01.xls" scroll down to "Window" in the description and see part number, description, quantity, application (the "AP01" part of the file name with references to where the information came from. Where the information came from is the 1967 Mustang Body Assembly Manual (AM0016) and on pages 38 and 39 (spreadsheet references N7-8600-1, -2) you will find assembly procedures (Ford Engineering listed the item numbers by assembly order in most cases) and alignment procedures.
I strongly advise you to get a set for your car's year. At the least, a common reference drawing, right or wrong, is available.
