Removing '67-68 Rear Window Channel from Door

I'm changing out the driver's side door window regulator on my '67 coupe, and I'm stuck on how to remove the rear window channel/guide from the door.  I made the mistake of removing the rear upper window stop from that guide, and there's no way it's getting reinstalled with that guide still in the door.  I'd also like to pull the guide to make sure it's lubricated and isn't bent, and to check on the rear roller on the door glass.

The problem I'm having is that I have no idea how the guide attaches to the window at the top.  I have the bottom half loose, but can't see well enough into the door to know how the upper half unbolts (or if it does unbolt).

You need to remove the rubber glass seal from the back of the door for the second bolt. 7/16 socket and an extension to reach the bolt. The hatchet bracket, that you show has two bolts on top, one is on back of door the other inside behind the seal. Allen adjustment bolt on the bottom.

I do have the glass seal off.  Both the 7/16th bolts in that area are removed, but I still can't get the top of the track to budge.  Could it just be stuck in place somehow?  It feels pretty solid to me.

Are you talking about the bolts here (this picture is from 68vert.blogspot.com)?  If so, both of those have already been removed.

Just the deepest bolt, the one is holding the stop.

I think it is anchored in 3 places not counting the window.

Just the deepest bolt, the one is holding the stop.

Is the glass still in the door? If so you have to pull the track off the window guides. There should be better instructions in the service manual.

Update: I got it out last night.  I ended up having to remove the vent window assembly and the window regulator (both of which were loosely installed in the door) to have enough movement from the door glass to actually get the rollers free of the track. 

I thought I would go ahead and pull the door glass out so I could clean the window track attached to the glass, but that led to another problem.  No matter what, I couldn't get the door glass out of the door.  I read somewhere that I might need to remove the beltline "fuzzies" to get the glass out?  Is that true?  In the past, I've always pretty much ruined those when removing them, but these are nice enough to reuse.

TRUE. Both beltlines often get destroyed getting the glass out. IMHO, it is much easier to simply replace them both mostly because it is very difficult to unsnap them without bending or breaking the tabs. That being said, I would line up replacements and plan on new ones or plan on less than satisfactory results and/or a huge fight getting everything back in and adjusted.
