On a 1970 Mach 1 Metuchen built 12-12-69 were the grey rubber caps used on the side marker lights & the studs that hold the tail lamp in?
Thanks,
Don
Here are some shots of original 70 NJ and the stud covers on the taillight covers. I have Dearborn examples with the same and with smaller rubber covers for the ends of the screws that are located between the studs. Believe its a good chance that NJ installed those also
You can see that one has a very thin rubber form while the other is allot thicker- not sure why. Thinner walled ones are what I've seen used at other plants. The thicker ones may be from a less used supplier as they appear to be similar to screw covers used in other years in the engine compartment and for unused vacuum nipples
Uncertain of the specific NJ VIN on this one
