Does this carb look right to the experts?

Does this carb look right for Oct '64 SJ automatic?  I've been on the lookout for this carb number, and now that I see this one for sale, I thought I would run it by the experts before pulling the trigger.

I think that is for a 64.5 with a D code motor.

I'll need to backtrack and see if I can figure out where I came up with this number, but I believe it was probably from a chart in the Ford shop manual.

Ok, let me be clear, I'm not trying to argue, I'm just siting my source.  ;)

At the end of the Fuel System section of the Ford 1965 Comet, Falcon, Fairlane and  Mustang Shop Manual (the one with the red cover) there is an Application Chart.

It lists C4ZF-E & F for 260 engines. 
It lists C4GF-AE & AF, C5ZF-C, D, E, & F for 289 engines.  Mine being Oct '64, seems like the C4GF would be appropriate.  But I will defer to the experts.

Looking at the mustangtek chart, I'm confused about all the references to 64 & 64.5 289 applications.  Maybe my Mustang trivia has become fuzzy over the years, but I thought 64.5 = 260 (other than HiPo) and 65 = 289?

In 64 they produced 289 4V non-hipo under the code D for domestic orders. BTW if your not a member over there you can't see the pictures ;)

The 1965 Shop Manual contains information for both the 64 1/2 Mustangs and 65 Mustangs. Ford did not sell 64 1/2 Mustangs but classified them as 1965 models for sales purposes, so both sets of information are included in the 65 manual. Production for 1965 Mustangs started in August of 1964 so all cars built after that date were "real" 1965 models, including yours. Technically, the V-8 Mustang engines (except 289HP) for 1964 1/2 were of the low compression type to use regular low octane gas as opposed to hi octane (aka hi-test) and the carburetors were set up for the low octane gas. In 1965, Ford V-8 engines were built to all use hi octane gas.
