Steering Column tapered collar
« on: March 11, 2016, 01:59:18 PM »
I am looking for a replacement tapered collar on a non-tilt 67 steering column and am wondering if there are other Ford applications and years that might use the same tapered collar.  See yellow arrow in the attached picture.  Thanks for your help.

I cannot tell you what ALL fits, but no doubt the majority of Ford applications circa 1967, NON-tilt with a floor shifter. (e.g. Ford truck with a floor shifter, Cougar, Comet etc.)

Keep in mind the NORM of the era was column shifter, other than that, it will fit several years.

Wouldn't it be simpler to call West Coast Cougar or other Mustang salvage yard for the part. The biggest problem i see is that it would hard to convince them to take the time to remove a 15-20.00 part IMO.
