Rubber hose ink stamps
« on: March 05, 2016, 02:35:06 PM »
Has anyone found someone who reproduces ink stamps for reproducing engineering numbers for rubber hoses or any part for that matter.

There is a fair number of different styles and patterns  - but in short no.

Are you looking to stamp older original hoses who's ink has become aged and weak over the years or something else?

As for any part - yes I've reproduced hose stamps for individuals for specific projects. The biggest challenge seems to be finding an ink that will work on the rubber, not crack or peel off - over time or due to manipulation

Yes restamping older very good condition hoses. With a 67 thermactor 390 there are so many of them in plain view it seems to me having the hoses marked would add a great deal of detail to a  restoration  that rarely sees it.
