1964 1/2 headlamp bulbs
« on: March 05, 2016, 12:42:32 PM »
I am working on a May 25, 1964 production date convertible, D-code 289, 4-speed Top Loader.  I am curious to know if anyone knows who was the manufacturer of original headlamp bulbs.  I believe it was Tung Sol, not sure though.  I have recently seen a NOS bulb with the TS logo in the front face of the bulb.

Westinghouse or GE were more common on the earlier cars.  Tungsol was more prevalent starting later in '65 production.

Thanks for the information Charles.  Did you by chance know if they had Westinghouse of GE identification on the face of the bulb?

I did a bit of research on this topic a few years ago.  This might help...
