Hi Guys,

So I have these two carpet screws on the rear of the p/s seat pan but not on the d/s. Should they be there and are there any others as I have one on each door pillar too?

I've not seen that on a 66 NJ car so I would suspect it was a fix for a poor fitting carpet on the line. That would explain why it was only needed on one side

Just a guess but expect that the other NJ owners will be adding their observations

I don't have any information for 66s, but there are no screws or evidence of screws in the carpet on my late 65 Metuchen coupe.

don't believe it is his 66 NJ car Jeff, more like a 65 SJ example.

Yes have no idea given how it was presented.

Double - "haven't seen that" if its a 66 San Jose example.

The Osborn 65 Assembly Manual does show four screws in the carpet on non console models, but in a different location.

Not sure if he was asking about a 65 or 66  but yes they actually did that on the line

Different side of the seat pans, different screws and different part of the pan.

66 Example - screw is located in the lower right corner of the picture below

And a different type head, round washer, as opposed to a flat head. A flat head does not have very good carpet retention properties.

Front edge of the seat pan/seat installed from above? Or vertical on the back side of the pan/riser

Have seen some cars where the worker ran out of time or missed leaving no hole in the floor metal but IMHO not that common.
