That's why the site grabbed them (purchased them) for use here  8)




The Cleveland engine plant is where the 289 engines installed on the SJ assemblyline came from so they would be the same.

Only a very few details might different on the finished (complete with all the accessories and other items added at plant) engine would vary but those pictures would not include any of those. Which is a good thing ;)

These differences would be limited to parts and hardware that you don't seen on engines in that picture of all the engines waiting to be shipped. Things like PS or AC mounting hardware for example. Closed verses Open (though Calif was not the only state with those requirements in 65) - Or if we were discussing obvious things like a 66 with Thermactor
