Bob, as I look at my condenser it seems the part with the holes looks similar but are you seeing the ends as different ? It seems my tubes are round and yours are flat. Bob are 67 condenser's a one year part ?
Clearly your example is not consistant with what is typically found on 67 Mustangs. If you look only at the metal cap alone (the one with the perforated holes) you can see in all 3 examples that Bob & John have shared, the metal cover caps over (covers) the flat, "serpentine style" tubing on the ends, (the flat tubing that runs throughout the condenser) There should be no round tubing at all used on any original condensers that I have ever seen.
My original 67 condenser matches up with the two original condensers shown (one from Bob, other from John).
Classic Auto Air sells a very similar to OE design sepentine type reproduction condenser (a bit pricey). It IS DIFFERENT too!
My thoughts are that if you intend to be as authentic as possible and somebody already mentioned they have an original one available, (in another thread recently?) it might just be worth the cost to simply pull the trigger and buy one. These original ones are not very easy to locate and quite likely, anything else reproduction will be noticed on the show field.
