1966 Drum Brake Master Cylinder Bore Sizes
« on: February 04, 2016, 07:43:05 PM »
I was wondering how much of a difference there would be in pedal pressure and pedal "feel" using the manual brake master cylinder with the 1" bore size instead of the power brake master cylinder with the 7/8" bore. Does anyone have any experience with this? Also, since Ford offered the power brake option as "dealer installed" as well as a factory option, does anyone know if the dealer kit included a new master cylinder? That might be a tipoff if there is a real noticeable difference. Thank you.

Does anyone have any experience with a 1" master cylinder bore on a Power Brake car instead of the 7/8' bore? Thanks.

I don't know how it works or feel, yet, but i have bought a Power brake booster with the small 1" bore MC to use with disc brakes, from NPD. Also talked to the manufacturer who say it works great.
