I did modify a 67 flat hood using a 69 scoop and mimicked the 69 blacked-out styling. Black-out was on the raised area of the hood with a 1/4" wide pinstripe, 1/4" off of the hood molding & blackout area, then went straight back to the windshield along the raised area of the flat hood. I guess that would be about 90% of the hood that was black.
Though this is not a great picture (taken with a 110 camera in '81) but I think it represents the description a little.
The whole car was anything EXCEPT concours! It was my 2nd car, built from parts & pieces extracted out of the Junk Yard this picture was taken in front of (Coachella Ca.) The car itself was found wrecked, and parted out about 50% at the time I rescued it.
