Candy Apple Red Availability Date in 65

Does anyone know for certain when Candy Apple Red was available?  I see from some sources that say it became available February 1965.  Is that correct?

It was only a regular production color starting with the '66 production year.

Ford had intended to offer a 'Cherry Red' at the beginning of production in '64, but it obviously did not happen.
