67 wiper pivot leather gasket
« on: January 03, 2016, 09:50:40 AM »
I noticed that my original windshield washer pivot leather gaskets had additional butyl type body sealer between the leather and the cowl   Anyone else seen this?  My body assembly manual is not handy at the moment and will check later.  With the way the nuts protrude slightly I can see why this was done.  Also note that the replacements have an extra "key hole" slot but are otherwise accurate to factory parts.

Just about every car I have disassembled had the white sealant. It was almost like window glazing.
