Interieur Paint mixture 67 red
« on: November 19, 2015, 08:17:48 AM »
Hi Folks,

Found already the correct colour code mixture for candy apple red on this page:
http://paintref.com/cgi-bin/colorcodedisplay.cgi?manuf=Ford&con=m&model=Mustang&rows=50

But I have no clue how to get the correct colour mixture for the 67 dark red interior.
Any ideas?

By the way, it seems that there are 2 different red painted metal parts inside the car. Does anyone know which part need which colour?
Thanks a lot
Homer

On that site, when you're looking at the page that shows all of the available color chip selections, the sheets with the interior color info are not visible by default. There's a link "click here to see information pages". Click on that and you will see the additional pages. This one, for example:

http://paintref.com/cgi-bin/chipdisplay.cgi?year=1967&manuf=Ford&smodel=Comet&info=yes&page=8

There are interior sheets from several manufacturers. They indicate which components receive each color (you may need to confirm accuracy of this info with other sources).

Sorry for asking again, but my English is not that good.
Is it correct that at least all metal parts inside receive the same red colour and only the other parts are different colour?

Got a complete red interior set from TMI and dashboard / lower knee pad from dashes direct. Seems that all but the dashes direct parts are same colour. Dash pad is darker.

Any ideas?

By it bulk by the quart from somewhere like Auto Color Library (online) or purchase it in rattle cans from any Mustangs part house and hope its close

IF you look in the LIBRARY under 67 and then Paint Chips it should be listed there ;)

Don't expect all the painted surfaces to be the same - get the list and check. Also don't expect :( that the reproduction parts will match up
