67 spark plug wires
« on: November 15, 2015, 02:06:03 PM »
should 67 390-428 have the same wire sets from the factory ? Also was the quarter of manufacture used in 67 ? I only recently looked at 67 wires and found some that have "Packard 440" along with autolite on them but no dates.

Where have you found 67 390/428  "Packard 440" along with Autolite ?

Bob, there are so many details with these parts its not only amazing but daunting at the same time, found a set of wires with Packard 440 on them and autolite on the boot ends but I don't know if 67 390's and Shelby  428's use the same wires, Im used to seeing wires marked  1Q to 4Q IIRC.

I suspect you saw these on EBAY that a seller has been trying to sell for over a year now at various times. Packard are typically GM wires. The very distinct possibility exists that someone refitted the boots on the GM wires . The wires should be marked Autolite . 67 was the year when the date code was added and the Autolite boots were added. It was a transition early late thing in 67.
