OK I sent the picture out to several places and have decided to try a place close to home. here is what they told me.
OK, We can do them but there will be a couple of things. With aluminum there is a process we follow and we would start out by stripping them first, so the ford plate there in the middle has to come off. It will probably get ruined in removal so hopefully you can at least find them to put back on. Second once all that is done we will restore them, take dents out and sand them. The recessed areas we will not be able to do much to them so if you have dents in there or heavy scratches then they will still probably be minimized with buffing but will still be there. After those steps we polish is to shine then get it re dipped i a bright dip aluminum. Worry of mine that I seen in one of the pictures is there is rotting, that could be ok and not to bad or it could be worse then what I see. When you have rotten, there is not much we can do to it but make it prettier for as long as it may last for you. I believe they will look tons better then what they are now but may still have some flaws. Would love to give it a shot, I just want to be up front with you on some issues we face and you might still have/see with the finished product.
Door sills run you about 300.00 and then there is a 20% anodize fee added. Aluminum can take anywhere from 4-12 weeks for completion. The reason it could be so long is that we accumulate aluminum orders and get them done in one or two loads rather then charging the customer for the one tank which is very expensive if you are only getting something like this done.
If you choose to go ahead with the restore of your sills plates then we would ask you to send them in with a note that has name address, email, phone. I will print off all my notes of what we have said back and forth and upon receiving them I will write you a invoice with all your info of any sort of way to contact you and then we would collect half of the invoice amount before we start on job and collect the remaining upon completion and shipment back.
I think I have covered all questions you might have. I thank you for your interest and hope we can earn you as a customer.
Thank you,
Rebecca
