It's a good question and I don't know how far you have gotten with this .  I just took a look at my car and it appears at least two small shoulder nuts are there and probably one more at the bottom holding down the long horizontal piece .  Nuts can be seen, flashlight and ext. mirror, at the mid point and at the top.  Looks to be an irksome assignment but doable without removing the fender or headlight ext.  Have fun and if you find another method please advise.  Brian

Just installed 2 NOS ones last month. 2 of the nuts are easy, the third is difficult. I ended up cutting 1/4" off a 11/16" deep  1/4" socket plus used a wobble extension. It still takes patience. I did it on the car..

Its possible without removing the fender or the extension.
