Subject: Anyone have a Blue Oval Industries OEM style'65 High Profile Rally-Pac on a 6cyl '65 car?

I know that the Scott Drake Repro '65 High Profile Rally-Pacs have dip switches on the back where you can convert them to a 6cyl engine tach instead of V8,

My BIG question is, Can you do this same thing with the Blue Oval Industries OEM style'65 High Profile Rally-Pacs as well??? Have anyone ever opened up the back of a Blue Oval Industries OEM style'65 High Profile Rally-Pac??  Do they have the dip switches on the back like Scott Drake Rally pacs???

Does Anyone know??

I'd like to purchase a Blue Oval Industries OEM style'65 High Profile Rally-Pac, but I'm not going to drop the coin on one if I can't convert the tach over to 6cyl like the Scott Drake Rally Pacs.

I already own a new Blue Oval Industries OEM style'66 Low Profile Rally-Pac for my six 6cyl '66 Sprint Convertible, and I'm really happy with it.  Now I'd like to get a High Profile one for my '65 6cyl Convertible.

Can Anyone here answer this question?

I don't know if I can answer your question but I do have an original '65 6 Cylinder Rally Pac that I still need to restore. When I get a moment, I'll take the tach portion apart to see if it has any dip switches or see if I can figure out what the difference(s) there may be that makes it a 6 Cylinder Version. It could be as simple as a jumper wire but could also be in the components.

There won't be any dip switches on original tach's.  I'm not sure of the name of the board component, but it is different between a 6 and 8 because of the pulse signals from the distributor are a different pattern.

As far as the original question, might be easier to contact the manufacturer or a vendor that sells them.

The "pattern" is the same, there are 25 percent less for each revolution of the engine for a 6 cylinder than an 8 cylinder. The switches compensate for that.

I misread the question. I saw OEM but not style and didn't realize right away that we're not talking about an original Rally Pac...sorry.
