Hi All
Just going through my box of parts looking for something to clean up and i came across my voltage regulator. Its been resprayed black with everything else, so i dont know if its original or not. I see the stamped markings on the lid (I A+ S F), and see FA-30 marked on one leg on the base, the other leg has made in U.S.A.
The cover is screwed not riveted.
The underside has a circuit board with the 2 outer tabs full length with ink stamps (circular with an A or V, and other with an A and Y).
The car was in a front on collision at some stage and all repairs were stock Ford parts. This could be an early service part. I bought a repro regulator, with the riveted lid. If its supposed to be screwed and the older one is more correct, would it be acceptable to switch the lid over?
Cheers
