Radiator question
« on: July 21, 2015, 05:40:52 PM »
Did the 65 Mustangs come with transmission coolers in the radiator, either automatic or manual trans? If not, what year did they become standard (no pun intended), and were they universally installed or just for autos?

automatic cars came from the factory with a cooling line passing thru the lower tank. fittings installed. radiators were set up specially for these. manual trans cars made no provision for trans lines.

Just for automatics. It was typical for many replacement radiators to include the cooler to cut down on inventory.

Thanks for the replies. I just happened to notice it on my Mar 64 and Feb 65 with manual 3-speeds.
