Neutral Safety Switch Harness Repair
« on: June 30, 2015, 03:23:54 AM »
Just doing a quick repair on this until I can get a clean original. The PO did not heat shrink it but I failed to keep in mind which bullet connector went where.  :-[ (See connectors circled in image) Does it matter which one is male and which is female?

Thanks.

It doesn't matter which is which, but the male has to plug into the female coming from the fusebox and the female has to go to the tail-light harness.  Remember: female connectors are always hot when energized.

I was hoping you would reply Midlife. You helped me once in the past with a sheared back up light wire causing a short because it was rubbing against the inner rear qtr panel where a grommet was missing. I would never have found it if it was not for you so thanks again. So it does not matter which way I connect the male/female connectors up as long as they are connected to the right things once done - got it.
Thanks again.
Dan.
