I was wondering how I was going to install my motor without damaging anything. I ran across these, were these lift hooks factory installed on the motor? If so, were they left in place do to the limited space to remove?

Thanks

I install them for looks of assemblyline but  I don't know anyone other then the factory that uses them to install the engine. I use a adjustable lift eyelet that bolts down in place of the carburetor.

Guy on another site reported dropping his engine the other day using these as anchor points.

I was afraid that the carb bolts wouldn't hold the weight of the engine and trans.

Should I install them for concourse driven class?

Thanks

Don't be afraid It is a common practice. Install the lift hooks only if you want to make your car look like assemblyline . If you don't want that look don't install them.
