For a Dearborn 67, What would the finish be for the copper strap, from the cowl to the hood ?

Thought it was a trick question at first 

The answer is....copper.  Au natural.  Are you trying to prevent the typical patina that comes with age and exposure?

I have only seen it on 1 other car so I wasn't sure if it was from the factory plain copper or not, I guess this was something that needed periodic maintenance, thanks.
