Trunk lock pad - bad fit
« on: June 20, 2015, 12:12:01 AM »
Hi all, has anyone else ever had a problem with the trunk lock pad fitting the housing?  The only thing I can come up with is that this is an early lock and maybe the design was changed and pads only fit the later design.  Anyone else have some info?

Thanks,
Kelley

Is the housing and/or pad reproduction?

My housing is original, but the pad is a reproduction.  The reproduction pad fits the reproduction housing properly.  I guess I'll have to buy the reproduction housing kit  :(.  I was just wondering if anyone else ran into this problem

Yes, I reused the old pad. The reproduction pad in my case was too small but fit another original lock housing on another car. It was "tight".
