C6 Kick down lever & switch wiring clip
« on: May 30, 2015, 07:16:50 PM »
Does anyone have a picture or description of either of the following?

(1) the nut that holds the kick down lever to the transmission at the neutral safety switch. Is there supposed to be a lock washer & nut -OR- a serrated nut without a lock washer (see pic below)?

(2) For '67 C6, should there be a clip held to one of the two neutral safety switch mounting bolts, used to hold the wiring harness from the neutral safety switch? If yes, does anyone have a picture of how the clip and wiring are oriented? I don't see how this clip helps in the '67 C6 situation.

I haven't been able to find a picture of this exact application, yet all of the C6 mustang application pictures I've found show a lock washer and nut. Unless someone corrects me, for now I shall assume that's appropriate.

Lock washer and nut is correct for the kick down lever. Serated nut is not correct.

I have seen the clip for the neutral safety switch wiring harness attached affixed by the front (closer to torque converter) bolt attached the safety switch to the transmission.
