Is Holley C70F-9510-A (LIST-3793) correct for 390 GTA?
« on: May 20, 2015, 02:44:36 AM »
Can you please tell me if '67 GTA 390 Mustangs ever had the Holley C70F-9510-A LIST-3793?  I read here (http://www.mustangtek.com/4150/holley4150.html) it was for 4-speed cars only.  Is that correct?

This carb has a 6A2 (2nd week of November 1966) date.  How many weeks/months prior to the build date would one expect to see for a Holley?

Would a mid-August 66 carb be way too early for an early March 67 car?

Technically the Ford number is C70F-9510-A, and yes it is correct for a 1967, 390 with manual transmission (3 or 4 speeds) in 49 States (excluding California).

Thanks for confirming my finding, krelboyne.  I corrected the typo in the part number.

I am still wondering, would a mid-August 66 carb be way too early for an early March 67 Dearborn car?

IMO, either a August or November date is much too far away from your March build date. Are you going for thoroughbred? if not, then don't worry about the date. The date cannot be seen unless you take the air cleaner off, which is far from accepted practice in MCA.
