Should the neutral safety switch wiring connector for '67 C6 utilize a ONE-piece (4-wire) or TWO-piece (two, individual 2-wire) connector?

My original switch was two separate 2-wire connectors (switch side) and a single 4-wire (vehicle side)
I cannot say if there were variations to this or not. Mine, is actually a C4, my understanding is they utilize the same switches. Mine also a San Jose, 11/66 build date if relevant.

Interesting, thanks. Mine has a single 4-wire molded connector which plugs into a mating connector at the firewall. The wires going into the switch are glued right into the case (i.e. no connector at the transmission end). The housing says fomoco on it, but I don't find a PN.

I see these switches both ways and I wish I knew which was correct for 67. I also see some references indicating the same PN is used for c4 and c6, while others indicate they are not the same PN.

Anyone have the correct PN for the neutral switch for a C6 in 1967?

See the attached - needs some correlation.  From the Jan 67 MPC.  Let me know if you need help.

Replaces Ford Part #: C6AZ-7A247-A, SW 549.

Replaces Ford Part #: C8ZP-7A247.

These are the numbers that I researched from Ford, there is obviously a C6AZ-7A247-B?, or C7AZ-7A247-A? or similar other number too.

The MPC indicates a change over of 12/15/1966 for C-4 and C-6 neutral safety switches. The only difference on either one is the two double or quad plug on the switch side.

The December 15 date, like many, to be taken with a grain of salt.  My Dec 20 SJ C4 has the early dual plug variety.

simple answer is early 67s had  split connector, later single. Always thought it occured early 67 calender year

My San Jose built 67 had an adapter cable to go from the 1 plug to the 2 plug style.  Guessing it was made to use up inventory of older style neutral safety switches.  The car is a C4 and was built in late December of 66.  Thought it was different and wanted to share.
