Was just looking around for something like this myself as I have a super nice original 4sp shifter, but the bushing is worn at the top and it vibrates when driving. Bill does install a sleeve, but I notice that his do not have the bottom spacer like originals do.In the past, I've bought NOS shift handles that have the correct bushing, they are getting a little more expensive these days though.Has anyone tried to do the silver soldering on the cable end? I would like to try silver soldering, i do my own body panel lead work cant see where it would be much more involved, i have a real nice 65 shifter like yours that needs the bushing, it would be cool to do the work at home.
