Topic: Steel wheel question

My 1969 Metuchen built sports roof came home in boxes and was equipped with poverty caps and body colored wheels. My questions is....will I paint the complete wheel body color or is the back side painted black with only the hub cap side painted body color?

Believe it has been discussed here before (did you try the search function?) My own observation from a couple of different cars is that they were black from the beginning/factory and the outside was painted body color with overspray into the slots of the wheel. This goes for Motor Wheels - mid sixties.
