Not that I am aware of, deluxe interior did not require deluxe push-button seat belts either.

The answer is more complicated, that option came with a "Seat Belt" warning light, an often forgotten portion of the factory option.

Ok, so...

1. in 66 the deluxe belts were a separate option to the pony interior, and they came with the warning light.

And

2. no way to tell what belts came from the factory based on the door tag showing standard or deluxe interior.

Would assume one could deduce if a mounting hole for the warning light exist (where was it mounted under the dash, and any specific D or O size hole to look for?) that the deluxe belts "may" have been original, an indicator but not proof.  What other tell-tales could one use to attempt to determine which belts came with the car, or is it a guess?

Helping the shop that does my body/paint do up a 66 T code coupe and am in unknown territory as I am more familiar with 68s. Any tips to help the owner figure out what may have been original appreciated.

Will look for any under dash hints and stray wiring leads that may provide some info... the car had the interior replaced and dash repainted in a prior life so it has been "adjusted"...

I think I did this correctly. I shared some pics on the link below of the location of the light on a 66 C code Dearborn convertible in a previous post. The car had the deluxe push button belts but had a standard interior. It was NOT a pony interior and I am certain that it was original to the car.

There will be a hole big enough to stick a finger through down about 4-6" below the mid-section point of the ignition switch and lighter.  This would be for the seat belt warning light assy, which was part of the push-button belt option.

Ok, the hole is there and appears factory.  No lamp or wiring.  Is this reproduced?  Took a quick look on a few parts sites and did not see them.   Ebay for UOS (used old stock!) the best bet to replace it....???

I believe I have a couple used 66 seat belt wiring harnesses in stock.  PM me for details...they will only be a few bucks plus shipping.

Yes the bezel/lense are reproduced (scott drake) but as per the normal they are not like the originals.

I also have a few spare used originals as well, the relays are out there (normally C7 versions) but NOS bezels and Lenses are expensive and NOS complete sealbelt warning light assemblies are all but non-existant the last one I saw was on the market for +350 usd

Bought the Branda OEM noted in the link.  Thanks for the offer Randy, pulled the pin too quick on that one...

I saw the Drake stick-ons and was not impressed.

One advantage to the Drake stick-ons is that you don't have to drill a big honkin' hole in your dash. to install them...  :o)

They're not too bad..
