vent window weatherstrip

Comparing a 67 Ford NOS vent window weatherstrip to several originals, I noticed a difference and am looking for comments.  The NOS part either has extra material at the vertical edge, or all of the old ones have been worn off.  Comparison done in the attached picture, although it is not the best angle to show what I'm seeing.  Will post more later.  Thanks

John was there a date on the packaging? Just guessing Ford may have used a different manufacturer on the latter parts. It may also have been done to improve the seal.
