302 Mustang Block, 289 Heads
« on: March 26, 2015, 12:39:26 AM »
$250 for all as seen in pics.

This price is NOT NEGOTIABLE. MY BOTTOM DOLLAR.

This motor was pulled out of a 68 Mustang 10 years ago. It is a 302 block with matching 289 heads, built one day apart (stamped 5L20, 5L19) Not able to find VIN on block but can send car VIN upon request..the vehicle is in storage so let me know if that is important.

The motor is in pieces. It ran fine, but 10 years ago I decided to rebuild it...pulled it all apart, organizing all the intake and exhaust pieces in plastic bags (as shown). Also, all pistons and their hardware have been kept in order.
$250 FIRM.

I cannot say for you what the block really is but you might post the final assembly date off of the block too. Many late 67 and the run of 289's into the 68 model year used a 302 casting for actual 289 engines.  It could all be a 289.
Bob Mannel's book on small block Ford discusses this.
