68 carb spacer paint or natural finish ?

hi ,

i have a 68 with a 289...Need to know if the carb spacer was paint or stay with this aluminium finish ?

so all the carb spacer were paint blue with the bloc ?

I think it was in place, so no paint on the bottom.  Also the top was masked off, so paint therefore only in the sides. The mask was probably more of a shield, not tape, for speed purposes.  So the top edges would probably "soft". This is based on what I've read primarily at this site on replies on other posts.
