Topic: 65 Rotunda Compass glove box sticker

I have the remnants of the original sticker in my glove box door - and every now and then try to search for someone who may be reproducing them -- does anyone have a lead on these?

i guess if i had to have it made i would also copy an old National Council of Mustang Clubs sticker i also have.

Have had them (the sticker) on a couple of cars - never seen them reproduced - guess not enough  out there to support making them

Normally this sort of thing getting reproduced starts with a hobbyist that just has to have one for their car and makes a small run of them - selling the extras as best they can over years and years.

How about a pic of the sticker??  I have no idea what you guys are talking about.  I have a '65 vert and a Rotunda compass as well.  You mean the sticker that actually goes on the compass, or is there some kind of other sticker that we don't know about that goes in the glovebox??

I'd really like to know.

Yes that is where I've seen the instructions for use and adjustment - in the glove box door on at least one car.

I have the compass, got it NOS a couple of years ago. I have the sticker of the instructions too, so I'll take pictures and post them. I didn't realize they were meant to be placed somewhere in the car.

my glove box door is packed away right now - but yes, it is inside the glove box door and has "HOW TO ADJUST YOUR ROTUNDA COMPASS" at the top.

I've seen the exact same instructions - on a similar-size sticker - used on Airway and other vintage compasses that pop up for sale every so often. Just keep looking for them on e--y. May cost you the price of another compass - but it might be worth it for some. JC

Here is a picture of my original Rotunda compass sticker, uninstalled and still attached to the wax paper backing. The first picture is of the front of the sticker, the second is the reverse side saying where to install it so that it does not get misplaced (suggests glove box). The third picture is the original instruction sheet that came with the compass. I included a picture of my installed compass.

Like a number of other little options/accessories these were made by an outside vendor then packaged for sale through Ford dealers.

so i have admittedly never seen an original or NOS unit (that i was aware of). here is a pic of the reproduction one i purchased 20 years ago or so... and i see what some have mentioned about the differences.
