Interesting. Any evidence that 66 Fairlane UCAs are dimensionally the same as 67-69 mustangs?
We all realize by now MANY parts made by Ford fit MANY applications besides just Mustangs
(YES, FORD did actually sell other cars besides just MUSTANGS!) The more we understand interchangeability of parts, the easier it is for us to locate some of those hard-to-find items. Junkyards dating back to the 1950's got new books every year to assist them. NOW, it is all computerized. SOME of that information is available to the general public for FREE, if you know how to go about it.
Go to Car-Part.com and look up a 67 Mustang, Control Arm, UPPER...Car-Part.com inventory system is based on the Hollander books. ITEMS SHOWN ( in various salvage yard's inventory across the country or region) WILL BE A DIRECT INTERCHANGE BASED UPON THE LATEST INFORMATION GIVEN HOLLANDER BY FORD. This does not mean they are THE EXACT SAME, it only means that superceded numbering updates have been applied to allow a more complete interchangeability.
Hollander interchange that these salvage yards use often have A,B,C,D... suffixes along with notes on any interchange. The Car-Parts link I mentioned above does NOT list those A,B,C items withing the listings. You can call a salvage yard and ask them though, or better yet, stop in and they might be willing to show you the interchange and the NOTES. Granada's UCA, for example, might be a number such as 511-12345C and 70 Mustang 3-rivet a 511-12345B and your 67-69 Mustang + 66-70 Fairlane/Falcon a 511-12345A. NOTES might say something like B fits A but has ____ different. or B fits A but A does not fit B.
Am I CLEAR AS MUD YET?
