Cheers

Checked a couple of books and found this listed for the 68 hydraulic 390 GT engine

Part number on the cam - C6AZ-6250-A (Same cam as the 69 390 GT engines - different from the 68 390 and the 428CJ)

Lift at lobe .253

Overlap of 37 degrees

Duration 256 degrees and 256 (Intake & Exhaust)

Milder cam than the one used in 68 for the 390 4V's installed in Mustangs

Hope this helps

The C6AZ-6250-A cam is the standard 390 cam used in the garden variety 2V and 4V FE engines such as 352 2V, 390 2V, 390 4V and 410 4V.

It was also used in the 1969 390-4V Mustang and Cougar engines.

Reference: Ford Master Parts Catalog 1975 Final Revision.

The C60Z-6250-A was used in the 390GT and 428CJ from 1966 - 69

Thanks Kerry - just repeating a reference that apparently was incorrect. That is the cam I first posted then changed to the one I did after looking at the texzt that was handy. Should have gone with my first choice.  Important thing is getting the right info to the OP

Maybe its best, given the readership here to say The C60Z-6250-A was used in the 390 S codes from 67- 68  and 428CJ from 1969 - 70

With that said those specs are as follows according it appears

Overlap - 46 degrees

Duration - Intake 270 degrees - Exhaust 290 degrees

Lift at lobes  - Intake 247 degrees - Exhaust 249 degrees

Looks like it originally had a light blue paint daub for identification

The correct suffix for the C60Z cam is -B, not -A. Per the '75 MPC and numerous other references.

At least I hope so, I have one that I bought new from Ford in '89.  :D The paint mark is a dark aqua color. I can't vouch for markings on an assembly line cam.
