1967 key blanks
« on: February 19, 2015, 12:28:31 PM »
I'm looking for 1967 NOS or correct repo. key blanks. My current keys are True Value. They came w car when I purchased it in 1991. It's time to upgrade this detail.

These are on eBay currently http://www.ebay.com/itm/281177430926?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Any opinions, please. My car quality is a driver w as many concurs elements as possible.

Thanks,
Gimpy

The original keys sold back in the day that are the same as what came with your car when it came from the dealer have a small hole. The key in the auction is a later evolved service replacement design with a larger hole. What you are looking for are like this  http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-KEY-SET-FITS-FORD-TRUCK-67-68-69-70-71-72-73-74-75-76-77-78-79-80-82-83-/331483905570

Make sure they are not aluminum, my 79 Pace car came with aluminum
keys from Ford that had the small hole which was correct in the late 70's,
they look just like the earlier versions that are brass.

67 was the first year for that new key design sold under c7az ford #  & is expected in new judging rules as a freshly restored car should have nos keys as well to match not old worn used replacement keys & remember your car came with 2 sets of keys when sold new with a ring & decode #s

And don't leave them in the car. Present to the judging team prior to judging. It's called being practical. Too many unsavory characters out there.
