Topic: 1970 428 CJ Manual Choke Carburetor

I have recently purchased the correct Carburetor for my 70 Mach 1.
I am having diffuculty finding any photos of the factory setup for the Carburetor.
Mine has AC so i have the throttle solinoid however am not certain about instillation of the Dashpot and the Choke & Fresh Air Tubes I have seen in Photos of the automatic choke setup but none of the manual choke.
If anyone has some Photoes or comments they would be greatly received.

Not sure what your asking, but all the 70 carbs use a manual choke setup (with a cable) so there's no auto choke, or the associated choke hot air tubes. Your carb uses the electric solenoid, so no dashpot either. I'm away from my stuff till the weekend, but if someone doesn't beat me to the punch, I can post some pic's of the right setup. ( I have a 9/30/69 Metuchen 428 AC mach1)

The photos would be very helpful.
 I am also having difficulty fully understanding the Throttle Cable Bracket DOOZ-9741-D and the Throttle Cable Assembly - a picture tells a thousand words.

Ok, the only pics I have handy are close ups of the manual choke cable attached on the side of the carb - which I think is what you are after.
I also have some that I took when I was removing the manual choke actuator, so that I could make sure I put it back on correctly.  If you need to see those, let me know.

I'm no CJ or SCJ expert but I have worked on many Fords of the era. In Mike's picture, shouldn't the choke cable (wire connecting to the carb)  be straight as an arrow? (meant to read, not bent upwards) Just an observasion but to me it looks odd that way, I'm sure it works right though.

also the holley transfer tube should be routed the other way as the offset bend was from rear from factory to clear pcv fittings in that pic as it will work both ways but the extra bend was originally in rear.  just sayin as look how close tube is to vaccum tree fitting.
